Barista Training
It's easy to be misled into the belief that anyone can become a barista with a few hours of training. I have yet to find a good barista who knows all, who has stopped learning. Being a barista means a process of everlasting learning, there is simply no end to it. Espresso is a tricky thing and perhaps that's what sets a real barista apart from the others. The realisation that his art is infinite, that everlasting learning is part and parcel of his/her profession.
This is the main reason that we at Just Espresso
don't believe in a "one-off" seminar type approach. We prefer to provide training on your own equipment, in your environment, one to one. This is really to kick start the learning process and cover the basics of espresso making. You or your staff will be ready to make proper espresso for customers from then onward.
But Just Espresso Training
won't stop there. It's the follow-up that really makes our training unique. That's when the fun begins and mostly we may talk to our customers by phone or using e-mail about the nuances of espresso. The follow up training will be for free, because (did I say this before?) we like to talk about espresso. And of course, this gives us an opportunity to tackle new challenges and learn also.
Training Manual
With training on site comes a comprehensive and
customised manual that explains the details of all aspects of espresso making with references to other literature that cover the subject of espresso, just in case you decide to become obsessed, too.
Customised? Yes, not some run of the mill booklet, but zooming in on your
requirements, preferences, equipment and so on. Espresso is really one of those subjects that is perhaps so complex and beautiful that you may never want to stop learning more about it. Just a reflection of life really.
